They Never Give Up on Two Kittens Left in a Yard, Now the Cats are Ready for a Happy Ending This Thanksgiving

They Never Give Up on Two Kittens Left in a Yard,

Last month, two tiny gray kittens, Butterball and Wishbone, were brought indoors for the first time. They had been found abandoned in a yard, with no sign of their mother, likely a feral cat. The kittens were too young to survive on their own, and TailsHigh, a volunteer-run rescue, stepped in to give them a second chance.

After waiting for some time, it became clear that their mother wouldn’t return. To ensure that no future litters would end up in the same situation, TailsHigh worked with another rescue group to locate and spay the mother cat.

The kittens were welcomed into a loving foster home, where they began their new lives. At just three weeks old, they needed constant care, including round-the-clock bottle-feeding and a warm environment to stay comfortable. Butterball and Wishbone clung to each other, providing comfort and warmth in their tiny world.

As their bellies were filled and their needs met, the kittens began to thrive. Butterball and Wishbone found solace in each other’s company, curling up together, often wrapping their tiny paws around one another. Instead of crying for a mother who was no longer there, they comforted one another, drifting into peaceful slumbers.

As the days passed, their personalities began to shine. Their ears perked up, and their eyes grew wider with curiosity. The kittens began to explore their surroundings, and their foster family started to see the unique traits each kitten had developed.

Meanwhile, Butterball became the energetic one, zipping around the room and making every corner his personal playground. “When he’s not darting around looking for playmates, he climbs onto your shoulder and snuggles in for a cozy nap.”

At two months old, Butterball and Wishbone have turned into playful, social butterflies. They are full of energy, joy, and affection, greeting every visitor with excitement and love.

As Thanksgiving approaches, the kittens are ready to find their forever home. Their names—Butterball and Wishbone—seem to be a perfect fit for this time of year. These playful brothers are sure to wiggle their way into the hearts of a loving family.

After spending hours playing, wrestling, and chasing toys, the brothers tire out and curl up in a cozy heap, purring contentedly as they drift off to sleep. Though nearly identical, they bring a balance of fun, mischief, and affection to their foster home.

Despite their rough start, Butterball and Wishbone have blossomed under the care of their loving foster family. Now energetic, playful, and full of love, they are ready for their happily-ever-after.
