They Helped a Kitten with a ‘Locked Jaw’ and Transformed the Young Cat’s Life in the Best Way Possible

A tiny kitten named Tam was brought to a veterinary clinic when her owner could no longer care for her. At just three months old and weighing only 900 grams, Tam had a broken jaw that was locked shut, preventing her from feeding. The future seemed uncertain, but a compassionate vet reached out to Chatons Orphelins Montreal, where volunteers immediately took her in and began feeding her via syringe.

Despite her inability to chew, Tam’s will to survive was strong. She tried to eat by plunging her face into the food. After a scan revealed her jaw had healed crookedly, a specialist performed corrective surgery to allow her to open her mouth.

Once the surgery was successful, Tam had her first full meal on her own, devouring her food with joy. She became more active, playing with other kittens and exploring her surroundings. She now lives happily in her foster home, loving people, and full of energy.

With her jaw still slightly misaligned but fully functional, Tam has transformed from a fragile kitten into a healthy, playful cat. She now enjoys snuggling with her foster family and even sneaks snacks from their plates.

Thanks to the efforts of her vet, volunteers, and the specialist, Tam now enjoys life to the fullest. She is ready to find a forever home where she will be loved and cherished.
