People who love animals have been moved by the way a small dog begs her owner to cuddle with her every morning.
Marbet Marin, 30, lives in Los Angeles, California, and is proud to have Chata, a deaf dog she got from a shelter during the COVID-19 pandemic.“I couldn’t meet the dogs before I chose one, and there were long waitlists to adopt a dog everywhere I looked,” Marin said.
She was on the phone with a shelter worker asking about another dog that she found out had already been adopted when she saw a picture of Chata and fell in love right away. Then she was told that the people who were supposed to adopt Chata never showed up.I was very happy to get in. Marin said, “The next day, I picked her up, and we couldn’t have been a better match.”I wanted a small pet because I live in an apartment and don’t have a big yard. I also wanted a small dog that would follow me around all the time. That’s for sure what I got!”

Marin only knew that her new puppy was a stray and that she might have been left behind because Chata was scared of being alone at first.
