One day, a friendly orange cat wandered onto a stranger’s porch and made himself comfortable, basking in the sun and napping on a bench. His gentle and affectionate nature quickly won over the resident, who began leaving out food and creating a cozy space for him. The tabby, later named Fish Stick, kept returning and soon treated the porch as his home.
Although she cared deeply for him, the resident couldn’t take him indoors. Wanting a better life for him, she contacted a local rescue group to help find him a permanent home. It was clear to everyone who met Fish Stick that he was meant to be an indoor companion.
When the rescue team first saw him, they were instantly charmed by his adorable face, affectionate personality, and unique gait, likely from an old injury. Once brought into foster care, Fish Stick adjusted almost immediately, revealing himself to be an incredibly loving and cuddly cat.

During his temporary stay with a volunteer, he quickly settled in, climbing into laps, purring contentedly, and asking for affection. His sweet nature made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
When he moved to his foster home, he wasted no time bonding with his new caregivers. He followed them around, sought constant companionship, and happily curled up in their laps. He also enjoyed the company of other cats and loved relaxing in sunny window spots.
At around four years old, Fish Stick had spent much of his life on the streets. Now, safe indoors, he embraced his new life fully—playing with toys, seeking affection, and expressing his happiness through purring and kneading.
With regular meals, a safe environment, and loving humans by his side, Fish Stick transformed into a joyful and affectionate companion. He is now ready to find a forever home where he can continue to share his warmth, love, and gentle spirit.
