Cat Holds on Tightly to Person After Leaving Kennel, Days Later She Has Four Kittens by Her Side

Tightly to Person After Leaving Kennel

Earlier this year, Britt, a foster volunteer with Murphy’s Law Animal Rescue, took in a heavily pregnant calico from a shelter. The cat, Patchwork, quickly showed her affectionate nature.

As soon as she stepped out of the carrier, Patchwork started “making biscuits” and filling the room with soothing purrs. Britt prepared a cozy area with several nesting spots, boundless food, fresh water, and an assortment of toys for her enjoyment. After exploring her new space, she walked up to her foster mom and flopped onto her side, ready for affection.

  • Patchwork loves belly rubs and head scratches.
  • She immediately became comfortable with her new home.
  • Enjoyed a cozy space with toys and food.
  • Her affectionate behavior showed her calm nature.
  • Started to explore and seek cuddles right away.

When Britt woke up one morning, Patchwork led her to her favorite box as if to say the day had come. One after another, she gave birth to four precious babies, with her foster mom by her side. “She did such an amazing job. I was honored to be there with her, to help her, and to witness new life coming into the world.”

  • Patchwork gave birth to four kittens.
  • Each kitten had a strong appetite and thrived quickly.
  • Patchwork showed excellent maternal instincts.
  • Her kittens were named Batton, Stitch, Spool, and Needle.
  • Britt was proud to witness the birth and the care Patchwork showed her kittens.

As the weeks went by, Patchwork continued to care for her kittens, making sure they were fed and comforted. She spent time cuddling with her foster parents but rushed back to her kittens whenever they cried out for her. The kittens grew stronger each day, and at three weeks old, they started to explore the world beyond their nest.

  • Patchwork spent time with her kittens and foster parents.
  • The kittens began to explore the world around them.
  • Patchwork showed deep love and care for her babies.
  • The kittens started playing and learning new things daily.
  • Patchwork’s family continues to thrive with love and care.

Patchwork is doing an amazing job as a mom, and when the time is right, she will be spayed and ready for adoption. “She will be up for adoption when she is ready and done being a momma. She’s super affectionate and loves cuddles.” Britt looks forward to seeing Patchwork thrive in a forever home where she can continue to be loved and cherished.

Patchwork’s journey from a shelter to motherhood is an inspiring story of resilience and love. She has found her place with her foster mom, and together, they have created a beautiful bond. As her kittens continue to thrive, we look forward to seeing Patchwork find her forever home where she can continue to experience love and care.
