Two Dogs Rescued From a 200-Animal Household Now Searching for a Loving Home

We are two of more than 200 dogs that were saved from a multi-animal home where we were housed in cramped, disorganized conditions and had never known what it was like to live outside.

Our names are Stevie, a cockpoo-spaniel cross, and Sandy, a cockpoo cross. We are both about two years old.

Since our rescue, we have made significant progress and are now prepared to look for a caring, patient home together.

Since the world is still so unfamiliar to us, we will require understanding individuals who will introduce us to new locations, people, and experiences in a gradual, slow, and constructive manner.

Being blind and deaf, I, Stevie, am a dog with special needs. I greatly depend on my dear and close friend Sandy for support and direction.

We must remain together in order to flourish because our bond is so strong. It will be necessary for our new family to comprehend my needs and assist me in safely navigating life.

Since neither of us has ever been walked on a lead, we will both need to be introduced to it. Naturally, I, Stevie, will require additional assistance to gain the confidence necessary to navigate my new environment.

Both of us will require a safe, private garden in which to explore.

My nose is fine and useful, but with my friend Sandy by my side, I am able to live a happy and fulfilled life despite my disabilities. Everyone is amazed at how adaptable I am!

Despite having such a difficult upbringing, our loving, caring personalities come through, and we are growing to appreciate the kind touches and strokes of the staff and volunteers who look after us and support our daily growth.

We enjoy playing together, exploring the grassy compound outside side by side, and then curling up in our cozy bed to take a nap after our little adventures.

For the first time, we are discovering toys and genuinely discovering what fun is!

We will require a home with clear, uncluttered spaces and where someone is present most of the time.

We would be content with a calm, amiable male dog as well as a dog-savvy cat, and we would think about living with kids 12 years of age and older if they are gentle and peaceful. We are therefore very flexible.

Yes, we have friends at Southridge who are in similar circumstances and are searching for homes. Some of them, like Stevie, have vision problems, while the majority do not. Like us, they are kind and compassionate people who have had a difficult upbringing and want a bright future, which I hope you will agree we all deserve.

Therefore, please contact Southridge if you are able to offer us a house. We are excitedly awaiting your arrival.
