It’s almost time to dispel the myth that dogs and cats despise each other.
As people who adore both dogs and cats, we have repeatedly witnessed that the widely accepted “fact” that dogs and cats despise one another is untrue. Dogs and cats can be the best of friends. under the appropriate conditions.
Rather than being afraid of each other, some cats who grow up with dogs are able to learn about and comprehend each other’s differences. After spending a lot of time with dogs and discovering that the large, panting, fluffy, tail-wagging machine is actually a complete lovebug rather than something to be afraid of, other cats eventually form bonds with them.
It’s not always simple, of course. Dogs and cats are very different. Many of their behavioral cues are entirely at odds with one another. However, many of us—people—are also unique, and we are aware that we can overcome any differences between us if we have enough willpower and drive. This also applies to dogs and cats. All they have to do is have a strong desire to be friends, and everything will work out.
Some cats and dogs actually bond very quickly, even though it usually takes time for them to do so. We believe that both of them are aware of good intentions, and that their differences are meaningless if the intentions are good. We believe that’s what occurred in this video.
At first, the doggo frightened the kitten a lot. Despite his excitement and desire to quickly make friends, the doggo was making an effort to appear less intimidating by averting his gaze. Both the dog and the kitten wanted a friend, and they worked to make that happen in their own unique ways. This little orange kitten quickly transformed from being afraid of a giant Alaskan Malamute puppy to loving and cuddling with it, as if the universe had always known that they would become friends.
