After following a woman to her apartment building, a stray cat “invited” himself inside and showed unexpected loving behavior.
On her way home, Yong Li was stopped in her tracks by an unexpected encounter happening suddenly with a young cat approaching her.
From down the street, a young cat came trotting and brushed against her ankles and weaved between her legs. Yong told Love Meow, “I was on my phone when he suddenly popped up in front of me, meowing for attention loudly”.

Yong, who owns her own rescue cats, saw something unique about this stray. “For some reason, he was very friendly with me, but he was afraid of other people”.
Although their initial meeting was brief, Yong’s thoughts were consumed by the small man. Every time she returned home, she found herself searching for him. It wasn’t until several days later that I saw him again. He reappeared at midnight, and this time he trailed me all the way to my apartment complex.” He had obviously been living outside for a while because no one had come forward to claim him. Yong realized he deserved better after witnessing how loving he was. “I told him, ‘I’d be happy to adopt you if you let me.'”
The cat stopped at the entrance as Yong walked into the building and toward the elevator. It must have been frightening to walk down this strange hallway. Gathering his courage, he padded inside and comforted Yong by putting his tail around his legs.
He looked at the elevator door for a moment before rushing inside when it opened. “He entered the elevator by himself, despite the fact that everything must have smelled strange to him.”
The hungry child ate a whole plate of food as soon as he entered the apartment, acting as though he hadn’t eaten a proper meal in days. He adapted to his new environment with ease. He dozed off in a basket by the window that evening. “I woke up the next morning to him greeting me from his nap spot.”
The cat, Didi, felt completely refreshed after a much-needed spa day. His coat was shiny, smooth, and clean.
Didi exuded a quiet confidence from the start. He trailed Yong from room to room, exploring every nook and cranny and securing comfortable spots as he went. He pretended to have lived there his entire life when he briefly interacted with the other resident cats.
On the second day, Didi leaped up and took a seat on Yong’s lap while she was lounging on the living room couch. His only desire was to remain near his human. He curled up happily and fell asleep to the sound of the TV.
“He won’t leave my lap and lets me cuddle him whenever I want.”
He is beginning to join the resident cats on the couch as they warm up to him, officially becoming a member of the group. He collapses next to them, totally relaxed, as though he’s always been there.
He’s gradually winning their hearts with his charm.
Didi has assumed several responsibilities in the apartment in a matter of days. He works as a kitchen supervisor, an office assistant, a TV companion, and most importantly, a devoted friend. He has plenty of comfortable beds, new toys, and all the food he could ever want. He gives his human ten times as much affection in return.
Didi is ecstatic to be safe, cared for, and loved after spending so much time on the streets.Yong never forgot Didi after meeting him that fateful night.
He is now flourishing in his forever home, cuddling with his human mother after a demanding workday, and at last leading the life he was destined to lead.
