After being discovered by itself on a soccer field in a nearby park, a calico cat was brought to Clifton Animal Shelter.
She weighed only five and a half pounds, or roughly the size of a five-month-old kitten, and was thought to be between one and two years old. No one knows how long she struggled out there or how someone could let a cat fall into such a state, the shelter said.
She was given the loving name Peach by the staff, and for the first time in a long time, she had nourishing food cozy blankets, and compassionate people committed to her recovery.
Despite being extremely underweight and weak, Peach had an unbreakable spirit. She battled to regain her strength day after day. She deserves so much more; she soaks up every bit of love and attention we give her.
Peach maintained her kind and compassionate personality in spite of everything that had happened to her.
She loved being in the spotlight, was amiable and trustworthy, and flourished on human affection. She recovered beautifully and gained some much-needed weight after spending time in foster care. She is also playful in a calm, easygoing way, just the perfect mix of fun and cuddles.
Peach went back to the shelter when she was ready to meet more possible adopters. She quickly became comfortable and confidently adapted to her new environment.
As endearing as her name, Peach’s attractive appearance affectionate disposition, and lively demeanor delighted every guest. She wanted to be the queen of her castle as the only pet, even though she had an abundance of affection to offer.
Peach kept growing every day. Her coat became softer thicker and more luminous. Her confidence grew, her playful energy returned, and her eyes glistened. She always sought out her people for playtime and company, but she also enjoyed having her own space.
Clifton Animal Shelter She has this gentle way of making you feel as though you’ve known her forever, leans into pets, and relaxes when you talk to her. She enjoys a gentle touch under the chin, a slow approach, and a quiet voice.
As the weeks stretched into months, Peach ultimately spent the holidays at the shelter with volunteers and staff. Nevertheless, she continued to be upbeat, hoping that the new year would bring the loving home she had been longing for.
