Kind People Took in a Kitten From the Cold and Wouldn’t Leave His Look-Alike Mother Cat Behind

When the weather turned freezing and snow started falling, a tiny kitten showed up at someone’s doorstep, searching for food and warmth. Right beside him was his mother, who looked almost exactly like him—same markings and adorable features.

Seeing how unsafe it was for them outside, a local rescuer quickly stepped in. The kitten was in a very weak condition and clearly needed urgent care. Realizing he required more support, she reached out to Chatons Orphelins Montreal for help, while temporarily taking in the mother cat.

The kitten’s eyes were badly crusted, and he was struggling. After initial treatment at a veterinary clinic, he was placed in a foster home. However, just a few days later, his condition worsened, and he developed a fever, requiring further treatment.

Thanks to the efforts of the veterinary team and volunteers, the kitten slowly began to recover. He was named Bieber, and as he regained strength, his playful personality started to shine. Soon, he was eating on his own and seeking affection.

Once stable, his mother Patty was reunited with him. The two looked nearly identical, with large paws, unique mismatched eyes, and similar markings.

At first, Patty was nervous and sensitive to sounds, carefully exploring her surroundings. But over time, her desire for affection became clear.

Bieber, full of energy, constantly tried to play with his mother—rolling around and waving his oversized paws like tiny boxing gloves.

Seeing her kitten healthy helped Patty relax. She slowly realized she no longer had to live in fear. Her gentle and loving nature began to shine.

Now free from motherhood duties, Patty rediscovered her playful side. She loves hiding in boxes like a game of hide-and-seek and following her humans everywhere.

She has become a true lap cat, curling up with her humans and purring loudly whenever she feels loved.

Bieber has grown into a social and affectionate cat who charms everyone. He enjoys climbing his cat tree, watching outside, and relaxing with his humans.

After weeks in foster care, Bieber finally found his forever home, where he now thrives.

Patty is also enjoying her new life. She loves attention and even acts like an “office assistant,” often jumping onto desks during meetings.

Now, she sleeps near her humans at night and continues to grow more confident every day.
