An unexpected kitten rescue resulted from a loud little cry coming from a pile of bushes. A small three-month-old kitten was hiding inside the foliage, yelling as loudly as he could. It didn’t take long to discover that this little man wasn’t at all shy. In less than an hour, he was rolling around, exposing his belly, and contentedly taking food and attention as if he had known people his entire life.
Initially it appeared plausible that the mother cat might still be close. The kitten was carefully put back where he was found in case she returned for him because he appeared healthy and well-fed. However, when I went back to check a few hours later, the situation had completely changed. The kitten was still there, sobbing and covered in ants as it hid inside a drainpipe. There was still no sign of any other cats or a mother.
The choice was simple at that moment. After being returned home, the small man settled in right away and began to form a bond with his rescuer. The veterinarian states that mothers may occasionally abandon their kittens at that age. However, this specific kitten appears to be far too amiable and loving to be left on his own.
He’s playful, safe, and obviously enjoying Hooman company for the time being. Finding him the ideal long-term residence is the next step. He is receiving a lot of care and attention in the interim, and it is evident that he is already settling in.
