Kittens Follow a Resident Cat Everywhere, Until the Day All 3 Have What They Wanted

Kittens Follow a Resident Cat Everywhere

Three tiny kittens followed a resident cat everywhere—until the day their biggest wish came true.

Earlier this year, a feline family of four was rescued by kind-hearted Good Samaritans and brought into a loving foster home.

The protective mother cat kept her two-week-old kittens close, always watching over them. Grateful for safety, she purred constantly and even “made biscuits,” showing her affectionate and trusting nature.

When Ellen Richter, a volunteer with Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions, lay beside them, the mother cat immediately came over for cuddles.

The devoted mom rarely let her kittens out of sight, responding to their every sound. But as the trio began to wobble around, their curiosity grew stronger. They started trying to explore beyond their nest, keeping their mom busy and alert.

After a few days, the mother finally allowed herself some much-needed rest as her kittens became more independent.

As they found their footing, their world quickly expanded. They chased each other, tumbled into playful wrestling matches, and explored their surroundings under their mom’s watchful eye.

Once the kittens were old enough, their mom met her forever family—and instantly knew she was home, happily jumping into laps and asking for affection.

The three kittens—Bluebird, Chicka DeeDee, and Puffin—continued their journey in foster care, growing into playful and loving little personalities.

Bluebird, the smallest, had a gentle and affectionate nature, often choosing to sit on laps or perch on shoulders. Chicka DeeDee and Puffin, on the other hand, were full of energy—always running, playing, and exploring.

Then they met Matisse, a resident cat in the home, and instantly fell in love with him.

From that moment on, they followed him everywhere like little ducklings. They watched his every move, chased after him, and learned new games and tricks by observing him.

Matisse became their playful guide, showing them how to enjoy toys, especially his favorite tunnel, which fascinated the kittens.

Even in the middle of their adventures, Puffin would always run back to their foster mom for a quick cuddle before jumping back into playtime.

As the kittens grew older and ready for adoption, Ellen hoped they could stay together. Her wish came true when a loving family decided to adopt all three.

Soon, the trio will head to their forever home—bringing with them triple the joy, triple the energy, and endless love.

These three inseparable kittens are ready to fill their new home with happiness, playful mischief, and loud, content purrs.
