A tiny, teddy bear-faced dog went viral after his owner disclosed that he was much older than many had thought. In a TikTok video shared by @doggiesbeautysalon, owner Jeni walks up to her dog, Buddy, who is wearing rubber duck pajamas instantly and rolls onto his side for belly rubs from owner. Millions thought he was still young due to his youthful glow adorable appearance, but Jeni revealed in the video that he is her forever puppy at age of 15.
Jeni claims to have witnessed the response to Buddy’s age numerous times. When people meet him, they go crazy meeting Buddy, especially after finding out how old he actually is, she emailed Newsweek. Buddy has aged backwards since adoption since Jeni brought him home in 2010, according to her.
She explained, Buddy is a rescue; my uncle found him wandering the streets by a trash can searching food to eat. In 2010, the veterinarian estimated that he was approximately two years old. We therefore made our decision based on this estimated age given.

Later that year, after her uncle offered Buddy $50, Jeni brought him home, she said. She was eight years old then, and the two have grown up together since.
Buddy has always behaved like a puppy; he’s a baby who loves his food toys attention, and belly rubs every day, she remarked.
Buddy’s distinctive mix makes him the center of attention wherever they go. According to Jeni, a DNA test showed that he is a cross between multiple breeds including a pit bull, Shih Tzu, golden retriever, beagle, and Chow Chow.
People would stop me to ask about Buddy, to tell me he’s cute and adorable, to take pictures of him, and even FaceTime family members to show them, she said. They ask me what breed he is and tell me that based on his appearance he will be a huge dog someday. Their jaws drop to the ground when I stop them and tell them he’s actually a senior.

Buddy’s puppy-like enthusiasm isn’t a passing trend at all. According to research, maintaining an active lifestyle daily may have a significant impact on how dogs age. With her TikTok video, everyone is now fixated on Buddy, confirming Jeni’s long-held belief that he would have an impact beyond neighborhood. She stated that she had always assumed he would become well known due to his attractiveness and youth.
That notion has come to pass, and as of Friday, he’s finally going viral, with over 1.1 million video views. 15 years? One viewer questioned, Surely you mean 15 months right? while another remarked, He’s just a baby. He’s dressed in a cute dog onesie.
