Woman Spots Kitten As She Pulls Up to Her House, the Young Cat Comes Right Over, Asking to Be Let in

Woman Spots Kitten

It was late at night when Shannon arrived home. As she pulled into her driveway, she noticed a pair of eyes glistening in the darkness above the well lid. As soon as Shannon opened the car door, a gray and white kitten suddenly appeared under the porch light, bolting towards her, meowing loudly. The little kitten tried to jump into the car and then followed Shannon onto the porch.

The kitten’s persistent cries made it clear she was determined to be taken in. “Shannon has never seen a cat so scared. Being the great person she is, she brought this little girl into the house,” Donna, a local animal rescuer, shared with Love Meow.

When Donna heard about the kitten, she immediately offered to help. She brought the kitten, now named Star Diamond, to the vet, where they estimated her to be five months old. Despite being abandoned, Star Diamond was fortunate to find the right help.

After being fully vetted, spayed, and treated, she returned home to Shannon, where her granddaughter, Autumn, waited with open arms. The family set up a cozy nook for the kitten with a warm bed and plenty of food. Star Diamond quickly settled into her new surroundings and began to enjoy the comforts they provided.

Completely smitten with Star Diamond, Autumn announced she wanted to “raise her.” She went to her room, picked out her most cherished stuffed animal, and gave it to the kitten to keep her company. “She said even though they just met, she loves her already. Star Diamond will never spend a night on the streets again.”

That night, the kitten curled up beside her snuggle plush friend and drifted off to sleep, purring contentedly. Autumn started a daily journal to document every precious moment of Star Diamond’s new life, even sleeping on the floor beside the kitten to make sure she was comfortable during her recovery.

“Autumn is truly an amazing and beautiful soul.” Within a week, Star Diamond had gained much-needed weight, thanks to her hearty appetite and a devoted friend who ensured she would never go hungry again. “As Autumn said, ‘I can only slightly feel her bones now.’

“She is the best little human, empathetic, compassionate, and loves with her whole heart.” After wandering outside in search of safety, Star Diamond has finally found the place where she truly belongs. “Shannon and her beautiful family will be keeping her and spoiling her for the rest of her life.”

Star Diamond now nestles close to Autumn every night, whispering purrs into her ears. No longer scared or worried about her next meal, Star Diamond dreams of endless sunny days and warm cuddles, living without a care in the world.
